Police are appealing for information after a spate of bicycles thefts in the Lowestoft area.
A man’s blue mountain bike was also stolen from Essex Road between 11pm on Monday and 5:30am today.
The second theft saw a blue and white Raleigh mountain bike stolen from the back garden of a property on Steven’s Street at about 2:50am on Saturday.
Then between 20:30pm on Monday, August 26 and 2:45pm on Wednesday, August 28 a lady’s black shopper style bicycle, with gold writing on the frame, was taken from the back garden of a property on Payne Street.
In all three cases the bikes had been left insecure and Lowestoft police are urging cyclists to secure their bike at all times.
Police recommend using a heavy duty bike lock, similar to a D-lock, and locking bikes to an immovable object - a proper bike rack, ground anchor or robust street furniture.
If you have any information relating to any of the thefts contact Lowestoft Police Station on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
