Police seek witnesses to A47 crash at Scarning which left motorcyclist with serious injuries

Witnesses are being sought for a road accident on the A47 at Scarning which left a motorcyclist with serious injuries.

The crash, involving a grey Ford Ranger and a silver Yamaha Fazer motorbike, happened at about 12.15pm on June 5 near the junctions of Manor Road and Grange Road.

The road was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident and the motorcyclist was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.

Following the crash, an ambulance service spokesman said the man, in his 40s, had injuries to his neck, chest and legs after he “slid under” the 4x4 vehicle.

Police said the casualty remains in hospital in a stable condition today.
