Police look for witnesses after man charged for firearm offence in Brandon High Street

Police are looking for witnesses to an incident where a man was charged with criminal damage and a firearm offence after an altercation in Brandon High Street.

Daniel Mitson, 20, from Astor Court, Brandon, has been charged with criminal damage, possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear and common assault after an incident on Sunday.

Police were called to reports of an altercation between a man and a woman in High Street at around 8pm.

Mitson was arrested by officers and police believe there could be up to 20 witnesses to the incident, who they are keen to speak to.

The criminal damage charge made against Mitson refers to an incident in High Street which saw a business premises’ window broken between 11pm and 11.40pm on April 4. Police are keen to trace two men who assisted a woman at the scene.
