A member of the public noticed a man standing astride a maroon coloured ladies mountain bike looking through a handful of letters. He also appeared to have letters in his pocket.

The member of the public made a comment to the man and he put the envelopes he had in his hand into the post box but appears to have left with the other items in his pocket.

The member of the public also noticed the box was full to overflowing and it appears a packet had got stuck inside, causing the other letters to build up.

The man police want to talk to is white, 5ft 11in, aged in his mid 30s to early 40s, of average/ medium build, with dark hair. He was wearing a cap, jeans and a top under a coat.

Anyone who recognises him is asked to call the Lowestoft South Safer Neighbourhood Team on 101.
