Police officers from Great Yarmouth CID are appealing for witnesses after a mobile phone was stolen from a property in Stanley Terrace, Middle Market Road, between 12.30am and 12.50am on Friday, September 7.

A man knocked on the door of the property claiming to have broken down and asking to come in and use the phone.

A Norfolk Constabulary spokesman said: “After spending some time together, the resident went into another room. The offender took this opportunity to steal the victim’s Samsung Galaxy mobile phone and flee the scene.”

The offender is described as black, of thin build with black hair and about 6ft tall.

DC Gavin Rivett, Great Yarmouth CID, would like to hear from anyone who saw the theft or has information concerning it.

DC Rivett can be contacted on 101 or you can call anonymously on 0800 555 111.
