On Thursday November 28 between 5pm and 5.30pm a woman was walking along Ted Ellis Walk in Church Street when she was grabbed from behind in a ‘bear hug’ by an unknown man.

After the woman pushed the suspect away, he walked away making an offensive gesture.

The man is described as white, 5’6 inches tall, slim build with fair coloured hair, wearing a white cap, blue hooded top and light coloured baggy trousers with round shaped glasses.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have seen a man of this description in the area at the time of the incident.

Anyone with any information should contact PC Chris Paton at Dereham Police Station on 101 or alternatively contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
