Police are appealing for information after a pet cat was shot in the leg with an air weapon in Beccles.

The incident happened between 5pm and 6pm last Wednesday, June 18, in the Rigbourne Hill area.

The cat returned home with a bloody leg and was taken to the vets for treatment. An air weapon pellet was removed from its leg.

Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to call PC Richard Warne at Halesworth Police Station on 101 quoting reference BE/14/712, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
