Police want to find driver who left collision scene in Denver

Police are trying to trace a man who drove off after his car was involved with a collision with another car at Denver around 1.40pm yesterday (April 26).

The man, who was driving a green Ford Mondeo - registration Y521 SBJ - initially stopped at the scene but left before exchanging details.

The other car involved, a blue Peugeot 206, was stationary at the time of the collision outside Denver Post Office and Stores on Downham Road.

The female driver of the Peugeot, was left suffering minor neck injuries as a result.

The Mondeo will have substantial damage to the front nearside lights, bumper and bonnet and officers are keen to speak to anyone who believes they may know its whereabouts.

The man is believed to have headed off in the direction of the A10.

He was described as white, around 5ft 6in tall, of medium build with dark brown collar length hair and wearing blue jeans and a green bomber-style jacket. He was also unshaven.
