A road in the east Norfolk village of Ormesby St Margaret has been closed by police.

Several police cars, an ambulance and two fire crews were called to Station Road shortly after 5pm and remain on the scene.

A neighbour, who did want to be named, said he believed a man had climbed a tree in his garden and was being talked to by officers.

It is understood that the residential street has been closed between the junction of Yarmouth Road to Church View, near the petrol station, although residents are being allowed into their homes.

Police are yet to comment.
