A planning inspector has rejected an appeal against Breckland Council’s decision to refuse permission for a one-storey detached house in Barton Close, Swaffham.
Inspector Ian McHugh agreed that the proposed development would not have an adverse effect on the living conditions of neighbours.
However, he decided this was outweighed by the “significant harm” he said the development would have on the character and appearance of the street scene.
