A plane made an emergency landing at Norwich International Airport after a hydraulic fault was discovered today.
The Eastern Airways Saab 2000 was around 20 minutes into its flight from Norwich to Aberdeen when the fault was discovered and a message was radioed to air traffic control at Norwich at 7.02am.
The plane, which had departed at 6.45am, was carrying 48 passengers and three crew.
Richard Pace, operations director at the airport, said the plane turned back to Norwich and a full emergency was declared - activating a well-rehearsed response strategy.
Fire, police and ambulance crews were on scene by 7.13am and the plane landed safely at 7.24am.
Nobody was injured and passengers were able to disembark without the assistance of the emergency services.
