All bin collections across north Norfolk have been suspended today because of fresh snowfall.
A North Norfolk District Council spokesman said: “Services will be reinstated at the earliest opportunity and crews will attempt to return to properties which have not yet had their bins collected.
“Please leave your bin(s) at the collection point, along with any additional waste which you may have, left beside the bin.
“We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.”
Heavy snowfall last week disrupted the bin collections in north Norfolk.

Why were there no catch up collections at the weekend when the weather was cold but the roads were quite clear? All the commercial businesses were operating normally so why not the NNDC or their contractors like Kier. Simples - they don't give a damn about their customers, just like the schools and many other public services!

Windup was just stating that its dangerous out there at the moment, yes may have be clear up 1 road but round the corner completly different, Rather them than me working out in those conditions!! Notice also schools have been closed, posties not able to deliver, bus routes cancelled, traffic gridlocked or slow moving along with other issues.

Annon On Thursday, our bowling green level street had enough snow to make a whole ice cube! Also, we PAY for bin emptying. There was literally NO risk to anyone

Slight diference a home delivery van compared to a 26T refuse truck!!! Think safety not only due to dangerous road conditions, would you be happy for your car or property to be wiped out?? And what about the risk to members of the public along with the team who empty the bins??
