Police are still at the scene of a fire in Gorleston after flames ripped through a former timber yard.

Officers have cordoned off Riverside Road and are still manning the cordon around the Halls building, after the blaze broke out earlier this morning.

Firefighters were called to the scene at 5.14am and four crews from Great Yarmouth and Gorleston attended.

They wore breathing apparatus and extinguished the flames using hose reel jets.

The fire service recorded the stop time as 6.10am.
