Fakenham Academy students are hard at work in preparation for a production of the West End musical Our House.
Rehearsals have been on-going since November and our photographer Ian Burt caught up with the cast on Saturday to give readers a sneak preview of what they can expect to see at the shows between April 3 and April 5. The production features 35 students on stage and behind the scenes, aged between 11 and 18.
Drama teacher Jennifer Hart said: “I’m a huge fan of Madness and Our House is a great and largely under-done musical.
“Everyone has been working really hard and I’m confident they will put on some great shows.”
The role of Joe Casey is being played by year 11 drama student Murray Tindall in his first lead performance. Sarah will be played by Daisy Winchester, Joe’s dad will be performed by Zac Green and Reecey is being played by Tom Watton.
Dancers are being choreographed by college students Ellis Campbell and Annie Elfleet, the junior and senior chorus is being led by musical director Christopher Brown and stage manager is year 11 student Gemma Robinson. The shows will be performed in the main hall at Fakenham Academy’s Field Lane site and performances will be at 7.30pm.
Tickets at £3 and £5 are available by calling 01328 862545.
