It's the latest internet craze that has taken the world by storm and has got celebrities such as actors Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Cruise and the First Minister of Scotland Alex Salmond chucking buckets of ice water over their heads for charity.
The fundraising challenge started in the United States to raise money for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) (known as motor neurone disease in the UK), a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord.
So far £48 million has so far been raised for the ALS Association and the Motor Neurone Disease Association. Norfolk has taken the challenge full on, and our photo gallery shows the famous faces who have tipped the ice cold water over their heads and the people of Norfolk and their efforts for charity.
