Photo gallery: Zombie invasion planned for Halesworth - but there’s no need to panic...

It may look like a scene from Dawn of the Dead.
But there will be no need to panic for Halesworth residents this Saturday when they see the living dead walking through their streets.
As the zombies they will see are actually a group of people getting into the spirit of Halloween while raising money for the Rifle Hall.
A special party is being put on at the 18th century hall on Saturday evening, but before that there will be a zombie walk through the town, followed by family Halloween crafts and games.
The event has been organised by a small group, including trustees of the Rifle Hall.
Nykki Maguire said: “We are trying to do something fun and different that appeals to every age group as there is so little going on for families nowadays.”
The group will join together dressed as zombies at the Town Park at 2.30pm before taking a walk through the town.
Miss Maguire said there would then be a “special surprise” in the Thoroughfare at around 3pm.
Following this there will be Halloween crafts and games in the hall from 5pm, including pumpkin carving, decoration making and bobbing for apples.
In the evening there will be a party and disco for adults from 7pm.
Miss Maguire said: “Our main aim is to make people aware the Rifle Hall is there.
“It was run by Waveney District Council for many years but people think it is condemned and closed, but we have to get people to realise the hall is open and make it more of a community hall.”
The hall was taken on by a group of community volunteers who have ambitious plans to redevelop it.
The hall, which dates back to 1792, is in need of a major overhaul and although planning permission has been secured to refurbish it and replace two extensions, help is needed to raise money for the work.
Other fundraising activities have included quizzes, balls and exhibitions.
The cost is £1 for the walk and £1 entry fee to the hall. All proceeds will go towards the Rifle Hall restoration project.
