The sounds of chuntering tractors could be heard in a mid-Norfolk village as funds were raised for pre-school children.

More than 1,000 people attended the ninth annual Swanton Morley Tractor and Bygones Rally over the weekend.

Held at the village hall, the highlight of the event saw 47 tractors take part in parade in the main ring - described as “tractor ballet” - while there were also gun dog and sheep shearing demonstrations, more than 80 classic cars to see and stalls selling a range of goods.

Funds raised from the weekend will go to Little Swans Pre-School in the village.

Organiser Brian Shutler said: “It’s gone very well - we’ve had an excellent turn out by all our exhibitors and the public has supported us well this year.”

He added: “Next year will be our tenth anniversary so will be doing something special.”
