Young performers from three Norfolk schools joined together to bring a night of singing and dancing to Norwich.
Tonight We’ll Sing - Tonight We’ll Dance was at Epic Studios in Magdalen Street on Thursday night as part of the Young Norfolk Arts Festival.
Choirs and dance troupes from City Academy, in Norwich, Ormiston Victory Academy, in Costessey, and Flegg High School, in Great Yarmouth, were involved in the show and were accompanied by the Norfolk Music Service staff band, the A Team.
Ian Chopping, assistant head of service at Norfolk County Council Music Service, said about 180 pupils were in the show and that the night celebrated and showed off the talents of the young performers.
He said it was a great opportunity for the pupils to perform outside their school hall and in a professional environment.
Ormiston Victory Academy presented performances of: Seasons of Love, from the musical Rent; Sit Down You’re Rocking the Boat, from Guys and Dolls; Let the River Run by Carly Simon; When You Believe from The Prince of Egypt; and Unchained Melody by Alex North/Hy Zaret.
City Academy’s performances included: You’ve Got The Love by Florence and the Machine: Beneath You’re Beautiful by Emeli Sande; and Read All About It by Emeli Sande.
Flegg High School performed: Don’t You Worry Child by Swedish House Mafia; Lean On Me by Bill Withers; Count On Me by Bruno Mars; and Happy by Pharrell Williams.
The show’s finale was a sequence inspired by Let It Go from the Disney film Frozen.
