Thousands of people have been battling to get to work today as the freezing weather continues to cause difficulties on the roads and railways.
The Met Office is reporting the coldest temperature so far this winter has been recorded within the last hour at Marham, -13.1 degrees Celsius.
Major traffic and travel problems are expected through Wednesday with reduced services on buses and delays on trains.
The roads are very icy with people urged to take extra care and only travel if absolutely necessary.
Norfolk police have said roads throughout Norfolk remain treacherous but all major routes in Norfolk currently remain passable with extreme care. Drivers are urged to leave bigger gaps between vehicles, be prepared, allow longer for journeys and plan their routes.
Costessey Lane, at Costessey, was blocked both ways this morning between Ringland Lane and The Street because of a fallen tree.
Drivers were reporting this morning that the old A11 between Wymondham and Thickthorn was very icy but traffic was moving at 20mph, The Thickthorn roundabout was clear.
The A47 eastbound from Thickthorn to the A146 junction at Trowse was icy but traffic was moving at 30mph. The A47 westbound A146 to A140 was very slow, with heavy congestion. The Trowse bypass was icy, A146/A47 slip roads icy, Martineau Lane good and County Hall roundabout good.
The A149 from Potter Heigham to North Walsham was clear of snow and ice. On the A1151 from North Walsham to Norwich, as the road gets closer to the city centre the roads were more slushy and snow covererd, with some ice.
The Fakenham Road and Drayton High Road were very slow going. Traffic was moving but the usual queues were far worse because everyone had to take it carefully. From Mile Cross into the city there was very little traffic on the roads.
First Buses is advising people planning to use the buses today to travel as soon as possible.
The company has said due to extremely dangerous and icy roads, all services will be operating on main roads only. Konectbus has said it will serve main roads only and anticipates considerable delays.
Norfolk Council Council has said Norwich park & ride sites are operating, except one service from Costessey, the 604.
Anglian Bus has said all its buses will be running today but some minor untreated roads will not be served and passengers should expect some delays.
On the trains Greater Anglia is reporting delays to services to between Ipswich and Norwich because of a car striking a level crossing earlier.
Due to signalling problems at Reedham/Great Yarmouth a bus replacement service will be operating between Yarmouth and
Lowestoft although road conditions may mean delays.
A signalling problem is causing disruption between Sheringham and Norwich and there are delays of up to 30 minutes between Sheringham and Norwich.Check back on this website for further updates.
