The people of Thetford woke up to a dusting of snow this morning - with forecasters warning of heavier snow showers later today.
Walkers braved the cold conditions as they took their dogs for a walk by the Little Ouse River and a light sprinkling of the white stuff covered the nearby trees and fields.
No major problems were caused because of the weather and no schools in the area have closed.
Heavier snowfall across the county is predicted for later today with the Met Office bumping up its warning level from yellow, which is its lowest level, warning people to ‘be aware’, to amber for ‘be prepared’.
