The Mondegreens, Amazon Blu, In Memorium and Vanilla Fuzz are all involved with Norwich Sound & Vision Festival’s Accelerator band development programme for 13 to 18 year olds, and on Wednesday they played a YNAF showcase gig at Epic Studios in Norwich.

Clara Wiseman, Community Music East projects manager, said: “The night was big success and both bands and crowd had a great time. Each band played a 25 minute set of original songs and everyone was blown away that they’re writing brilliant songs at such a young age. We spotted a few local radio presenters and promoters in the audience and have no doubt that this is the beginning of an exciting journey for all involved. It was great to be part of the Young Norfolk Arts Festival and the staff at Epic were fantastic with the young people too.”

Norwich Sound & Vision Festival’s Accelerator band development programme provides affordable rehearsal space, workshops and information and advice on developing young musicians’ careers.

The Young Norfolk Arts Festival runs until Sunday, July 6. For more information on festival events visit www.ynaf.org.uk
