Norwich beat Sunderland in the 1985 League Cup final, qualifying for Europe for the first time in their history.
It was the first time City played on a Sunday and the first Norwich match to be televised live. In 1962 Canary Jimmy Hill scored a hat-trick against Sunderland.
Our first match, from Division 2, was played on 27th March 1971, when City won 3-0. Our second match, from Division 1, dates from 16th April 1983, with City again winning, this time 2-0. Our third match, from Division 1, took place on 19th August 1995 and was a no-score draw.
