A glass of bubbly was raised to the people behind the vision of Mustard TV at a celebratory launch event in the city tonight.

The party took place at Open, on Bank Plain, offering a opportunity of reflection for all the hard work that had gone into the project.

Speaking at the event Darren Eadie, former Norwich City footballer turned TV presenter, said there was still lots of exciting things to come.

'It's great to be part of a local and talented team,' he said. 'The response from everyone who has seen it has been fantastic.'

Archant's chief executive, Adrian Jeakings, added: 'We started more than 150 years ago as a newspaper but we've grown. We are at the heart of the community and we are delighted with this endeavour.'

Managing director of Mustard TV, Fiona Ryder, praised the efforts of everyone behind the project and the people who had brought it to life.

She said: 'We've had some highs and lows along the way but we've made it to air and it's an impressive achievement.'
