A weekend of events to remember those who sacrificed their lives for peace will take place in Dereham later this month.
Flowers will be planted in Dereham Market Place on the morning of Friday September 21 by eight children from local primary schools, who will be supported by two senior students from Northgate High School.
Mayor of Dereham Hilary Bushell will also say a few words in remembrance of those who gave the ultimate sacrifice before canon Sally Theakston gives a short prayer.
On Saturday September 22 a musical evening will take place at Dereham Memorial Hall between 6.30pm and 7pm including performances from the Mid Norfolk Singers, Jam Packed, Dereham Hand Bell Ringers and violinist Luke Loveday.
Tickets cost £10 and can be bought from Bright and Beautiful Flowers on Wellington Road, Dereham.
A service for peace with hymns and readings will also take place at St Nicholas Parish Church at 2.30pm on Sunday September 23.
