Music and multi-media festival Norwich Sound + Vision is back for a fourth year in October - and organisers are appealing for people to help make it the best yet.
The three-day convention acts as a platform for emerging stars of the music scene and hosts a conference spanning many of the creative industries. UK hip hop artist Ghostpoet, singer-songwriter Nina Nesbitt, and rock group Drenge are among the acts featuring in this year’s festival from October 10 to 12. The non-profit festival is now seeking to raise an extra £3,000 for festival funds in return for offering donors some unique rewards via the fundraising website Kickstarter.
NS+V director Adrian Cooke said: “We are looking to raise extra income for Norwich Sound + Vision this year in order to make it the best yet. There are some great rewards on offer for any backers through Kickstarter, including lifetime access to all Norwich Sound + Vision events and even having a personal assistant throughout the festival!”
The festival has until next Thursday to raise £3,000 via the website, and if successful the money will be put towards training staff and volunteers, getting technical equipment into the festival’s venues, and advertising the festival.
Mr Cooke said: “As a non-profit festival we cannot pay staff or volunteers, and stretch any money we do have to cover the acts at the festival, speakers at the conference and marketing and advertising costs. “Your funding will help us create a more exciting festival, and help all those involved to provide Norwich with a much-needed event to showcase local and national talent and get the top industry moguls to our fine city.”
