Frustrated city centre shoppers found themselves out in the cold for the best part of an hour this afternoon - after a fire alarm caused Castle Mall to be evacuated.
Firefighters from Carrow, Earlham and Hethersett were called to the shopping centre just after 12pm.
The fire service said it was a false alarm caused by “excess heat from a kitchen appliance”.
Shoppers had been allowed back into the shopping centre by 1.15pm.
Terrorism returned to the streets of London today as two suspected Muslim fanatics butchered a man in broad daylight in the name of “Allah”.
