It happened on Friday night shortly before midnight as the victims, two women both aged 18, walked along the road when they were approached by a man.

The man, who was wearing dark clothing with a scarf covering the lower half of his face, threatened them with a knife and demanded property.

One of the victims handed the robber a small green purse which contained around £4.

He then lunged towards the second victim and grabbed her phone, cutting her lip in the process.

The suspect fled the scene running away towards Colman Road and police are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or noticed a man acting suspiciously in the area.

A 13-year-old boy arrested in connection with the incident has been questioned and released on bail pending further enquiries.

Anyone with information should call Det Con Damian Shailer at Norwich CID on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
