A man who strangled his partner’s kitten in a domestic dispute will be sentenced later this month.

Idrees Jaff, 27, from Southwell Road, Norwich, was found guilty at trial last month of causing unnecessary suffering to an animal and assaulting his partner.

Norwich magistrates were told yesterday that he had strangled his partner’s kitten and then thrown it. He will be sentenced at Norwich Crown Court on December 18.

Yesterday, at Norwich magistrates’ court, Jaff pleaded not guilty to intimidating a witness in Norwich on November 28, and harassment without violence in the city between November 13 and December 3.

He was remanded in custody to face a trial on December 18.
