Roy White, 44, of Station Drive, Reedham, was sentenced at Norwich Crown Court yesterday for 11 counts of sexual offences against a child.

The court heard how White committed the offences against a girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, from when she was 12 until she was 15. It was heard how during that time, the crimes increased in severity.

He pleaded guilty to the charges.

White was placed on the sex offenders’ register for the rest of his life, banned from working with children and was made subject to a sexual offences prevention order.

Sentencing White, Recorder Guy Ayers said: “You have not shown one ounce of remorse or regret for what you have done. You ought to be ashamed of what you have done.

“I see this as a grave example of a campaign of sexual abuse that can only be dealt with by a significant amount of time in custody.”
