The event, organised by the YMCA, saw more than 500 people shoot hoops outside the Forum.

YMCA Norfolk volunteers were on hand from 11am to 3pm to get passers-by to help them break the record.

The record attempt aimed to involve five million people in YMCAs across the world.

It started in New Zealand and will follow times zones around the globe to finish in Hawaii.
