A Norwich dentist died in a skiing accident in Switzerland, an inquest heard today.
David English, 65, had been skiing off-piste with a group of people in a forest area.
He was found having fallen down a ravine.
An air ambulance took him to hospital in Geneva, but he was pronounced dead on the day of the accident - February 11.
He had been wearing a ski helmet, but sustained irreversible brain damage.
Norfolk coroner Jacqueline Lake said Mr English’s body was repatriated to the UK eight days later.
Mr English, of The Vale, Swainsthorpe, was formally identified by a funeral director by reference to his passport.
He ran a dental practice in St Augustines Street, Norwich.
The inquest into his death will be reviewed on or before March 26.
