An appeal for help has been issued by a Norwich community centre which is facing a bleak financial future.
The All Saints’ Centre in central Norwich, opposite the John Lewis department store, is in desperate need of new funding so that it can continue beyond 2015.
Trustees and staff from the centre, based at All Saints’ Church, recently held its annual review to discuss how they can raise new funds.
A spokesman for the All Saints’ Centre trustees said: “The current lease of All Saints’ Church expires in 2015, and with the rent continuing to rise on an annual basis, and utility and other expenses increasing annually, some difficult decisions will have to be made.
“All Saints’ Centre is a charity that receives no central funding. It relies totally on income from its café and other in-house sales and the generosity of the many friends and supporters.
“But with the centre currently losing £1,000 a month, time is running out. By the end of 2013, trustees need to have found additional funding.”
Anyone with ideas of how to help, or offers of help, can contact the All Saints’ chairman at the centre on 01603 633726 or email him at email@example.com
