The striker, an EDP and Norwich Evening News columnist, said the black Carrera mountain bike had been left locked up outside the Forum, near Bethel Street police station, this evening.

He wrote: “Thanks to the thieving git (don’t want to swear on here) who nicked my bike from outside the Forum tonight. Hope I don’t see you riding it!”

He later added a picture of a bike similar to the one stolen, and said he had reported the theft to police.

Anyone with information should call police on 101.

  • That's not a Carrera, it's a Boardman Pro Carbon hardtail, and I suggest that trusting a £1600 bike to a bike lock in the city centre after dark is not the smartest of ideas.
