New writing, theatre, dance and more is in store for audiences in the New Year at Norwich arts venue The Garage.

The venue has announced its spring season which will begin with new works-in-progress by Strawberry Blonde Curls and Rhiannon Faith:dancingtheatre. There are also performances fresh from the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, including laugh-out-loud musical I Need a Doctor: The Whosical, wickedly dark comedy Fleabag, and the uplifting Every Brilliant Thing. Shows for children and families include The Feather Catcher, a playful story of friendship, and A Strange Wild Song, a story of childhood and imagination.

Darren Grice, The Garage’s chief executive, said: “This season features work so fresh it’s still in development: Strawberry Blonde Curls and Rhiannonfaith:dancingtheatre will be performing works-in-progress following development residencies right here in Norwich. We introduce ‘Friday lates’ with Soho Theatre’s award-winning Fleabag - this is one for the grown-ups so grab some friends, a glass of wine and get yourself to this wicked, witty and wonderful show. As always we’ve packed in lots of new writing, theatre, dance and shows for families, children and young people. It’s the perfect opportunity to try something new in the New Year!”
