Norwich art trail offers festive fun for all

People of all ages can carry on with festive fun until Twelfth Night by following an art trail through Norwich.
Eighteen schools from the city decorated giant present stacks for the NORWICHRISTMAS Art Trail, and the trail continues until Sunday.
Cathie Davies, from Norwich and Norfolk Community Arts, which is delivering the project on behalf of the Norwich Business Improvement District, said the trail has proved popular and urged people not to miss out on seeing the art work.
“You can see some beautiful art and could win fantastic prizes. It is also a good way to walk off those extra Christmas calories,” she said, adding that she estimated a walk around the whole trail was about six miles. Among those who have been enjoying the trail are Lisa Crossman, Damon Bevan, Oliver, seven, and Poppy, four, who live in the Unthank Road area of Norwich.
Lisa said: “We have done most of the trail. Oliver’s school, Avenue Junior, have their present stack displayed at the Playhouse, so he was keen to see that one first.
“We have a few left to see which we are looking forward to seeing after the New Year. All the present stacks are really different and it’s fun walking around and finding them.”
People who visit 10 present stack sites and collect stamps can enter a competition in which the first prize is £400 worth of Debenhams gifts/vouchers. There is also a number of other prizes.
