The Girlguiding UK’s Big Gig 2012 welcomed a total of 13 members from Norwich and Blofield, all aged between ten and 14.

The music event, which has been held exclusively for guiding members for 12 years, was hosted by television presenter Ceallach Spellman after she was on the Girlguiding UK’s internet forum.

The 6th Norwich Guides group said they particularly enjoyed JLS and Little Mix, both of X Factor fame.

Marrisia, a Guide with 6th Norwich aged 10, said: “The gig was so fun. I lost my voice because I screamed so much.”

Guide leader Rachel Cruse said: “The girls have wanted to go to the Big Gig for some time so they were absolutely over the moon when they found out we had tickets.

“For many of the girls it was a real adventure as this was the first time they have been to a live gig on this scale and the atmosphere was amazing.”

The audience showed off their voices too as they were led by Popchoir in a mass sing-a-long of the Miley Cyrus hit Make Some Noise.
