A Norwich-based accountancy firm has launched a new smartphone app to give users access to key financial information 24/7.

The iPhone and Android app has been developed by Argents.

It enables users to calculate the tax on certain company cars or check the amount of tax they might be paying. Users can check stamp duty costs or see how they might increase their business profits.

Clients of the company can use the app to manage their income, expenditure and mileage and export the information to Argents.

The app contains 16 powerful calculators, including corporation tax, increased profit, stamp duty, inflation, VAT and mortgage.

It also has a GPS mileage tracker, latest finance news and key accounting dates.

Grahame Miller, one of the directors at Argents, based in Palace Street, said: “We’re always looking at ways we can improve the service that we offer and we know business owners have increasingly less time to spend reading emails and searching websites, so we made the decision to launch our very own app.

“The app allows us to keep clients up to date with the very latest news, views and key accounting information whenever they need it.”

He added: “Initial responses have been very encouraging. We’ve had some great feedback from users - especially for the mileage calculator.

“It’s also important to remember that, behind the scenes, our team at Argents is always on hand to provide professional, personal advice and guidance.”
