Auditions are taking place tomorrow and Wednesday for a production of The Railway Children at the Maddermarket Theatre in Norwich this Christmas.
The show, which will be directed by the theatre's artistic director Genevieve Raghu, will be performed from December 19 until January 5, and rehearsals will start on October 15. There are roles for actors aged 18 to 65 in the play based on the classic children's story about three children forced to move from London to a cottage near a railway in rural Yorkshire after their father is taken away from them in mysterious circumstances. The first auditions are from 5.30pm tomorrow and Wednesday. There is also an opportunity for a volunteer designer to work with the show's set designer Stuart Hembrow, who has worked for companies including Glyndebourne and the Royal Court.
To book an audition or for more about the design role email Miss Raghu at genevieve.raghu@maddermarket.org or call 01603 626560.
