A Norwich optician held a charity book sale to raise funds and awareness for Alzheimer's Society and to mark World Book Day.
The event took place at Scrivens Opticians and Hearing Care on Upper St Giles Street, which also held a golden ticket lucky draw.
In addition a competition for children to design a book cover will run until March 24, with the £1 entry fee going to the charity.
Branch manager Kelly Holmes said: 'Alzheimer's affects a growing number of people in our community and there is a real need for continued research and support.
'Our book sale is a chance for us to raise funds and awareness for a cause we care about.'
Scrivens is supporting Alzheimer's Society for a fourth successive year after raising £35,000 last year.
It was chosen because of the growing evidence of a link between uncorrected hearing loss and dementia, including Alzheimer's.
The family run business, which was established in 1938, has 183 stores in England and Wales, and 1,000 employees.
