Norwich duo De’Vide have told fans they have not heard the last of them, despite their elimination from BBC talent show The Voice last night.

The pair of Barny Holmes and Lex Flowers, who were selected in the blind auditions by pop star Jessie J, lost out in a head-to-head battle against singer Danny County.

The two acts both sang Best I Ever Had by Drake, but Danny was given the nod over De’Vide.

Judge Jessie J said: “I feel like De’Vide have really really honed in on vocals and how you work together as a two, you have come far from the blinds [auditions] to now.”

She said the decision over who to send through to the next stage was “a tough one”, before plumping for Danny.

But last night De’Vide told fans on Twitter that going out would not be the end of the road for the band.

Just minutes after the programme aired, they posted: “Don’t worry guys. This isn’t the end of us...”

They later added: “The whole @BBCTheVoiceUK experience was incredible. Thank you guys for all the love.”

The two made it through the initial blind audition with a version of My Girl, done in their own style blending rap, R’n’B and garage.

They will play the Sundown Festival this summer, where they will share the stage with Jessie J and boy band JLS.

They are also set to launch their debut EP later this month.

Mr Flowers began DJing in the city around five years ago, the year before Mr Holmes began a fine arts degree at Norwich University of the Arts.

The pair met last year at a party and formed a friendship over their shared love of music.
