North Norfolk Pride group invites all to Beach Chill Out celebrations

North Norfolk Pride will be holding its second annual celebration with a Beach Chill Out on Sunday afternoon, July 29.
The group, formed to support local gay, lesbian, bisexual or trans (LGBT) people, is inviting everyone to join in events on Cromer beach, below the Doctors’ Steps, from 2pm.
There will be games, live music and singing, and Keith Johnson, leader of North Norfolk District Council, will also be putting in an appearance.
Acts include the DunDun percussion band, female percussionists the Dead Goat Appreciation Society, and the Norwich Pride Choir.
A fund-raising evening of cabaret, by Norwich Alternative Theatre Co, will follow at 7pm in the town’s Red Lion pub, where the group holds its regular Tuesday evening meetings.
Once again, the Beach Chill Out will follow the previous day’s major Norwich Pride parade through the city.
North Norfolk Pride spokesman Pieter Wessels said: “Our focus is building community - not just an LGBT community. We want to build bridges, not stand on soap boxes.”
