North Norfolk MP Norman Lamb has been unanimously reselected to stand in the next general election for the Liberal Democrats.

Mr Lamb, current health minister in the coalition government, was formally re-adopted to stand for the party last night (Friday) by the North Norfolk Liberal Democrats Group at Merchants’ Place, Cromer.

Mr Lamb said: “I’m thrilled to be reselected. It was a great honour. It means a lot to me. I take nothing for granted and work on the basis I have to earn every vote I get.”

He first stood for parliament in north Norfolk in 1992 and has been MP for the area since 2001 for the Liberal Democrats.

The general election will be held next year.
