Kevin Musk hid the USB stick camera to film the woman, but was found out after its contents were checked, which included a video of the 57-year-old fitting the camera.

Musk, of West Carr Road, Attleborough, pleaded guilty to charges of voyeurism, including the installation of equipment, when he appeared at Norwich Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

Magistrates adjourned his case to October 15 for probation reports to be drawn up, but presiding magistrate Judith Palles-Clark said the elements of planning and the victim’s distress “push it up into potentially a custodial bracket”.

Prosecutor Denis King said the USB stick was later examined by police officers and found to contain additional files of Musk positioning the camera.

Mr King read the court a statement from the victim, in which she said she felt “humiliated” by the experience, had had trouble sleeping in the aftermath and found herself bursting into tears.

Damien Moore, mitigating for Musk, said his client had been “full and frank” in his admissions and was of previous good character.

He said: “He was on three sets of medication and it has been confirmed that the medication changed the chemical balance in his brain and brought about extreme behaviour.”

Mr Moore added: “He’s 57 years old, and has had no convictions, no cautions, no warnings – nothing. This is something completely out of character for him.”

Musk was released on bail on condition of non-contact with the woman and, under the Sexual Offences Act, must also notify police of his whereabouts.
