A senior Norfolk officer has warned “6ft-plus” snowballers to not waste police time by “getting carried away”.
Supt Carl Edwards, who oversees north Norfolk and Broadland, said: “My officers are much better utilised fighting crime than dealing with bad behaviour.”
He added: “I’m no spoil-sport and we all enjoy seeing kids enjoying the snow. But with a lot of schools closed and some of the snowballers being 6ft-plus with good throwing arms please ensure you remind them not to get carried away and snowball cars, people’s windows or passers by.”
Supt Edwards added some advice to motorists as the weather prepared to take a turn for the worse.
He said: “Before you set out consider whether your vehicle is up to the conditions – rear wheel drive cars and snow don’t mix.
“It is possible to purchase ‘snow chains’ and ‘snow socks’ from a number of retailers if you absolutely have to drive in these conditions. The outlay may repay you in terms of insurance excess and repair bills should the worst happen. The golden rule is always to drive to the conditions and stay safe.”
Terrorism returned to the streets of London today as two suspected Muslim fanatics butchered a man in broad daylight in the name of “Allah”.

I disagree with Supt. Edwards. Rear wheel drive cars are easier to regain control when they start sliding. I recall 2 or 3 occasions when I was able to make it home after heavy snowfall in my old Zephyr when the roads were strewn with abandoned more modern front wheel drive cars. They have too much of the weight at the front which adds momentum to a front wheel slide.

Yeah the little Angels were throwing snowsball at my vehicle last night, unbelievable at 02.00am funny how they stopped throwing them when I grabbed one of them and layed him face down in the snow and sat on him... his remark was when he finally got up was I'm reporting you... so I helped him out and gave him the number to ring !!! perhaps tonight he won't be throwing snowballs ..

Leave the kids alone, they're just having fun. If only some could remember what they did when they were young :-)

Snowballers, less than 6 ft tall, busy on Aylsham road (by Lidl) aiming for buses. Take note schools, while you are shut and parents are at work, your pupils will fall foul of the devil making work for their idle hands to do.
