Norfolk police appeal for witnesses after serious crash at Ovington

Information is wanted by police after a serious collision between a car and van closed a road near Watton for four hours.

The crash happened at the crossroads of The Street and Saham Road in Ovington just before 11.15am on Wednesday.

The white DAF box van had been travelling along The Street towards the A1075 when it was involved in the accident with the black Ford Focus, which had been travelling along the A1075 towards Watton.

The 67-year-old female driver of the Ford and a male passenger in the van sustained minor injuries. The 32-year-old male driver of the box van and a second male passenager sustained serious injuries. All four were taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital where the two occupants of the van who were more seriously injured are both described as being in a stable condition. Witnesses should call PC Andy Lincoln on 101.
