Acts from across Norfolk are getting ready to entertain audiences in Norwich on Sunday for a final day of free festival fun.
After two weeks of the Norfolk and Norwich Festival presenting performances from around the globe, Sunday’s It’s Your Festival event will shine the spotlight on talented bands, choirs, theatre groups, cabaret acts, and other performers from our county.
About 45 acts - featuring in total more than 450 performers - will be taking to the five It’s Your Festival stages across Norwich throughout the day.
The colourful setting of the Adnams Spiegeltent will host an eclectic mix of shows from circus to comedy to all kinds of music, and there will also be lots of different performances on the Bandstand in Chapelfield Gardens, outside The Forum, along Gentleman’s Walk, and on St Gregory’s Green in Norwich Lanes.
William Galinsky, the festival’s artistic director, said: “It’s going to be a great celebration of Norfolk and all the home-grown talent we have here.
“The line-up runs the gamut of art forms and people of all ages. It should be a fantastic show.”
It’s Your Festival is being made possible by the Norwich Business Improvement District (BID) and is supported by Norwich Evening News and Mustard TV.
• It’s Your Festival is taking place across Norwich on Sunday from 11am until 6pm.
• On Saturday at 10pm the festival is also presenting its free evening festival finale - Safe House by Metro-Boulot-Dodo.
The show - sponsored by Lafarge Tarmac - will see a mysterious house spring up in Norwich’s St James Development Site for an outdoor spectacle that looks at what home means to us and features aerial performers and colourful projections.
Entry is free to the show which lasts about 40 minutes. Visit www.nnfestival.org.uk
