Swannington Manor, near Reepham, will be open to visitors on Sunday June 29 from 11am to 5pm.

All entrance fees will go to the National Garden Scheme for a range of charities.

The 17th Century manor house creates a stunning backdrop to the garden which is framed by extensive 300-year-old hedges.

Visitors will be able to view mixed shrub and herbaceous borders, a water garden, sunken rose and knot gardens, specimen trees and sloping lawns.

Refreshments and homemade cakes will be served from the terrace overlooking the gardens, with proceeds going to Swannington Church.

In addition there will be an outdoor sculpture exhibition by artists from the North Norfolk Organization of Visual Artists (NOVA).

Manor Farm House, immediately adjacent to the manor, will also open on the same day, where visitors will be able to see a large range of topiary, mature shrubs and trees.

Admission is £4. For more information, visit http://www.ngs.org.uk/
