Fancy dress at the ready – the Norfolk Hospice has launched a new fund-raising cycle ride with a twist.

All those tackling the 10 and 20-mile challenge will be encouraged to dress up as a nurse to raise awareness of the charity and its work.

The cycle ride has been organised to sponsor a nurse at the hospice, which supports patients with cancer and other serious illnesses.

Cycle For a Nurse starts at the Norfolk Hospice, Tapping House, Snettisham, at 10am on Sunday, September 30.

Alternatively, call into one of the hospice’s charity shops for further information or to sign up.

On completing the ride, all the cyclists are being invited to a barbecue at the hospice.

The charity is raising cash towards a purpose-built hospice at Hillington, near King’s Lynn, with an in-patient facility.

Work has started at the site, but more funding is needed.

Call 01485 542891 for a cycle ride application form.
