The Charity Race Experience Day, backed by the EDP, saw around 5,000 motor enthusiasts flock to Snetterton on Sunday.

The money was raised for the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) through passengers paying to ride in one of 120 classic, race, track and supercars.

RMHC give free accommodation to families of seriously ill children allowing them to remain together during their child’s treatment.

The event was organised by Devin Grosse, general manager of the Holiday Inn Norwich-North, Shawn and Theresa Taylor of Shawn Taylor Racing, Sara Boddy of Essbee Marketing and Kevin Foley, owner of two McDonald’s franchises.

  • I do hope this means that the RMHC will at last be investing some of the over £8 million of cash (Dec 11) that they are sitting on in the East of England ! Next time you are in a McDonalds try asking a member of staff If they know where the nearest RHMC house or room is? My guess is they won't know. But take a look at the RMHC web site will There is not a single RHMC room or house in Norfolk, Suffolk or Cambridgeshire. Our nearest facility is a house in Basildon, There isn't even an 'East' category in the locations list. - I winder if people who put thier coins in the boxes in Eastern area McDonalds or raise money on events like this realise this?
