The search is on to find the UK’s top 10 favourite parks, could a Norfolk space be one of them?

Green Flag Award are calling on the public to vote for their favourite parks in their People’s Choice Awards 2017.

The Green Flag Award scheme recognises well managed parks and green spaces that are “setting the benchmark standard for the management of recreational outdoor spaces across the United Kingdom and around the world”.

There are currently 1,797 award-winning Green Flag spaces across the UK and all are eligible for votes.

These include Norfolk sites such as Holt Country Park, Catton Park, Taverham Mill, Greenacres Colney, Eaton Park, Sadler’s Wood, Pretty Corner Woods, Hunstanton Heritage Gardens, Boston Sensory Garden, The Tower Gardens, The Walks, Mintyln Crematorium and the University of East Anglia.

Voting is open until Saturday, September 30 and the top 10 winning parks will be announced on October 11.
